Riina Solman

Riina Solman is the Minister of Public Administration of the Republic of Estonia from 18 July 2022. She is a member of the Isamaa Party.
Riina Solman was born in Viljandi on 23 June 1972. She is married and has two sons. She joined the Isamaa Party in 2007, serves as the party’s Deputy Chairman and the Chairman of the party’s women’s organisation IREN.
Employment history and career
- In 2019–2021, she served as the Minister of Population and Ethnic Affairs.
- In 2017–2019, she served as an adviser for the Minister of Justice; before that, she was the Director of the Public Relations Division at the Ministry of Justice.
- In 2014–2015, she served as the Head of Communications and Development of the Viimsi Rural Municipality Government.
- In 2011–2014, she served as the Marketing and Communications Manager at Starmaker OÜ and Starmayer OÜ.
- In 2007–2011, she served as an advisor in public relations to the Minister of Defence.
- In 2005–2007, she served as the media manager of the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL).
- In 2004–2005, she served as the Head of the Communication Department of the Ministry of Finance.
- In 2002–2004, she served as the press secretary of Eesti Energia.
- In 1998–2002, she worked as a project manager at Hill & Knowlton.
- In 1995–1998, she served as an information specialist at the Information Department of the Estonian Privatisation Agency.
Education
Riina Solman graduated from Tallinn University in 1995 with a degree in pedagogy and primary education methodology. She speaks Estonian, English, Russian, and Finnish.
