Erki Savisaar sworn in as Minister of the Environment

Stenbock House, 18 November 2021 – Having been appointed as the new Minister of the Environment, Erki Savisaar was sworn in today, giving his oath of office before the Riigikogu.

On the proposal of Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Mr Savisaar was appointed to the position by President Alar Karis, who also released former Minister of the Environment Tõnis Mölder from office.

Prior to becoming the Minister of the Environment, Mr Savisaar served as a member of the Riigikogu from 2015-2021. He previously worked for AS Tallinna Linnatransport and as a private entrepreneur.
