The first foreign visit of Prime Minister Kaja Kallas will be to Finland

Stenbock House, 16 February – On Friday, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas will visit Helsinki and meet her Finnish counterpart Sanna Marin and the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.

With Prime Minister Marin, Kallas will discuss the COVID-19 crisis, cross-border travel between Estonia and Finland, and accelerating vaccination in both countries. In addition, they will focus on future relations between Estonia and Finland, and the topics of next week’s European Council, which include COVID-19, security, and foreign relations.

The main topics at the meeting with Sauli Niinistö will be the coronavirus crisis, transatlantic relations, and Russia.

The Prime Minister will return to Estonia on the afternoon of the same day.
