Prime Minister Kallas to visit Finland today

Stenbock House, 19 February 2021 – Today, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas will pay the first foreign visit of her term to Finland, where she will meet with her colleague Sanna Marin and President Sauli Niinistö.

The meeting with Prime Minister Marin will focus on resolving the COVID-19 crisis, the Estonian-Finnish cross-border movement, and accelerating vaccination. In addition, the focus will be on Estonian-Finnish cooperation and relations in the future, as well as the topics on the next week’s European Council, involving COVID-19, security, and foreign relations.

With Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Kallas will discuss the resolution of the health crisis, transatlantic relations, and matters related to Russia.

After the meeting, the Prime Ministers of Estonia and Finland will also give a joint press conference.

Prime Minister Kallas will return to Estonia this afternoon.
