The prime minister proposed the appointment of Tiit Terik as minister of culture

Stenbock House, 3 November 2021– Today, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas handed over the resignation application of Minister of Culture Anneli Ott to the president and proposed the appointment of Tiit Terik as her replacement.

Kallas expressed hope that the new minister could adapt to the position quickly. She said that it is important for the entire government that the culture sector is represented to the most substantive and efficient extent possible both in everyday work and at the government level.

The previous minister will be released from office and the new minister will be appointed on the proposal of the prime minister by President Alar Karis. The new minister will assume office by taking an oath of office before the Riigikogu. The next scheduled session of the Riigikogu will take place on Monday.
